We are GREEN, we have been using reusable water bottles for a couple of seasons now with reverse osmosis water and an additional filter that is the same design used by ----- when they send people into countries where there is any chance of water contamination.
For over ten years we have been using SOLAR and WIND to recharge our batteries and only occasionally use the genset. We have installed LED lights and special low amp draw motors for both frig and freezer to reduce energy consumption and have just installed a brand new TV that runs on 12 volts instead of higher draw 120v.
We also whenever possible buy locally grown produce and in the case of fish, locally caught to reduce petroleum usage associated with shipping. We also are a sailboat that primarily sails and we often catch fish while on charter.
